ImageFM.ca is the brainchild of its owners, Mark and Katherine Brewer. The idea of visual radio came up whem Mark bought Katherine a webcam for Christmas in 2004. Shortly after that, Mark and Katherine began broadcasting on the net to free cam sites, regularly entertaining those that listened to their shows. After being acquired by a California online radio station to do shows and working for others, Mark and Katherine decided to make thier own website. ImageFM was not the first site that was made. There were a couple of attempts to make things work before ImageFM's launch on January 10th, 2007. Almost five years later, over one hundred live artist telecasts and reaching a viewership of thousands a month, ImageFM.ca is making a major impact on how people see, hear and perceive independent Canadian music.
